Meat is transferred manually from the cutting section to the packing department using food boxes on a cart.
There are around thirty employees engaged in meat cutting, packaging, and crate organizing.
This will result in an increase in lead time, personnel, and effort, as well as safety concerns for the workforce.
To maximize production planning and performance, a bespoke smart conveyor system connecting the cutting and packing departments with conveyor modules has been designed.
This initiative led to considerable gains in Operational Efficiency, Process Time, Daily Output, Space Utilization Efficiency, and Workplace Safety.
With the tailored integration system, the daily production of pork sides is enhanced from around 260 to 340 to 500.
